Prowler/DLoC
I was a member of DLoC, THW, NSR, and did intros or work for most of the other real groups in 513/606 at one time or another.

Pro-Hack/DLoC
THE Phreak influence in the 513/606 scene. If someone in the scene was a phone phreak, they got their training from this guy.

Apprentice/DLoC
One of the three founding members of DLoC. Pro-Hack and I have been trying to find Apprentice again for years, he disappeared back to Cleveland at some point in the early 90s.

Whiz Kid/DLoC
This crazy bastard was all about improvised explosives. He used to blow up cars in some junkyard for fun. Last I heard he was working for the CIA

Blackstoke/DLoC
Great guy, a true and loyal friend. Moved to Florida and disappeared.

Merlin/DLoC/EPIC (Macgyver, Knitemare)
The best artist, and 2nd best programmer in the local scene. His war demos were hilarious. As Knitemare, he was well known in the national scene.

Hellraiser/NSR
Probably the coolest guy in the whole local scene, and I’ve never met anyone who knows the guy who doesn’t say the same. Hellraiser was a major influence for a lot of locals.

Natas/DLoC (Relworp, Oliver Clothesoff, Gaknyupazoid)
Natas (his real name) was one of my skater roommates who liked to get on boards and fuck with people. He even bought his own C64 setup just for that. Last I heard he was harassing people on usenet. Some people got the mistaken idea that since “Relworp” is “Prowler” backwards, that this guy and I were one and the same. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Z E U S/DLoC
Zeus was one of those guys who’s parents wouldn’t let him out of the house much. He was a tireless flame-warrior, and talented phone phreak.

Loki/DLoC
PC guy who called C64 BBS’s in the 90s

Longknife/DLoC
You don’t want to mess with this guy.

Cichlid/DLoC (Brown Frog, Freeze)
Uber-cool scener, well known for crazy antics. Ran several local BBSs, always on C-Net. The Lilly Pad, Cell Block 64, Nebula… Cichlid currently runs the Cincinnati Commodore Computer Club BBS at telnet://cincy.ath.cx

The Ranger
Hellraiser’s brother. At one point they shared a 300 baud modem, and would carry it across the street to eachother’s houses to use it.

Party Animal
Ran The Party Zone BBS – Really cool kid, now runs a consulting company.

Shutter Jockey/NSR
Ran The Network BBS and founded NSR with me in 1986.

Robin Hood/THW
Robin Hood was this guy’s actual name. Founder of THW, everyone warred with Robin at one time or another. Usually things would work out, and notably, Merlin and I both ended up doing intros for THW, and I even joined the group in 87. Robin took his own life in the winter of 92. This was a huge blow to the local scene, and it was never the same afterwards. Many of us had to stop using our C64’s for a while. There is a tribute video for Robin on one of the TSA DVDs.

Iron Fist/THW
One of the founding members of THW, and all-around crazy biker guy.

Devious/THW
A good coder and cracker, later was big in Amiga groups

Silver Dragon (Darkwind/THW)
Paul Redd. He changed his handle because we all called him “Silver Drag Queen” at first, then “Dickwind” after the change. Paul was really cool about it all, though, and it was never intended in a mean way. Later we were in THW together, and really got to be friends. I lost touch with Paul for a few years, and unfortunately discovered this year when I was trying to track down old friends that Paul had taken his own life in 2003.

Dr. Who/THW
Ran a good warez BBS, Dr. Who’s Request Line. Currently doing time in federal prison for something or other.

Dragon Creator/THW (Sir Locksley)
Cool guy who I had a falling out with in the early 90s. I would later discover that I had been lied to about some things he supposedly did, and have since tried to make amends. We were in THW together, and I hear that he’s going to be returning to the scene.

Nightcrawler/TSA
SysOp of The Combat Zone][ BBS and founder of TSA

Shadow/YWN
Founder of YWN.

Overlord
Randy was really cool, used to come to copyparties at Hellraiser’s house.

Grey Mouser/TMM
Tony Rye. Good coder, all around good guy. If anyone has contact info for Tony, please forward it. His friends in DLoC miss him.

White Demon/TMM
Grey Mouser’s brother. Natas used to really work this guy, they’d go back and forth for days flaming on eachother on the BBSs.

Duffy Hawken/NSR
Nam vet, and regular contributor on The Network BBS. Sadly, Duffy died from cancer in 1990.
